Lincoln 'Linc' Hyllianby *EBraunstein

This one's pretty obvious. It's a modernized version of Link, I just changed his name for my story. So hate all ya want Zelda fans.
Anyway, Linc's 10, he lives with his grandmother and older brother in an old house down the hill from Thornewood. He's the first person who Zelda met on Thorne Lane, and she has a big crush on him. He won't admit it flat out, but he has a small crush on her also. He tends to act with an air of over confidence and boldness which allows him to come off as cold and unfeeling towards Zelda. Underneath the facade, however, he's a pretty cool and nice kid at heart.

His last name is a play on the bloodline Link in the games descends from: The Hylians. His last name, however, is pronounced "Hill-ee-an".

lol My friend told me he looks too old. He's supposed to be 10. I pointed out "Ash Ketchum, from Pokemon, he was 10 when that show started, and he looked almost in his teens."

Yeah he does kinda look 14ish, but I'm terrible with ages. He's an attractive 10 year old. lol

Yea, he's not a bad looking kid. (Reason why my sis Zelda likes him so much haha) I notice when I draw some of the kids, they look older, like in their teens even though they're all 9-10 years old...

Kids are hard to draw without making them look ill-proportioned or deformed (Lilo of Lilo and Stitch or Johnny Test for example *shudder*) or take the shortcut by just making gross chibis. Keep experimenting and try to find the right age shape for your characters. Rounder faces and short statures help translate age better than anything. I'm not much help, am I?

ONE DAY I will draw older versions of Linc and Zelda for you. Like when they realize there's some sort of connection between them. Eh. ONE DAY.

But yea, I always thought they got Lilo pretty down age wise. Johnny Test, I have no idea how old that kid is supposed to be lol I just drew Linc larger this time cause I didn't want so much white space on the page like there usually is, but it made him look older, like 14 or so... Even though he's, again, just a 10 year old. (Zelda's 9, by the by. She has this whole Mrs. Lovett/Sweeney Todd complex going with him, where she's in love with the guy but he doesn't quite love her back.)

Here's a deviant with cute youngins. *Ms-Monochrome She's a TOTALLY different style from what you do, but maybe looking at her proportions could help. Eh. Your style isn't covered in any type of tutorial, so you'll have to explore on your own. Lamies, I know.

Well, I had a thought for a little jump ahead/skew in the timeline for Thornewood. In a weird experiment, Zelda trades boyfriends with Catherine (Whom I have yet to draw properly and post here lol), so Cat gets Linc and Zelda gets Garry. It works to a point, but Zelda and Garry seem more like the same brain rather than lovers, and Linc just plain annoys Catherine. In another timeline, Zelda MARRIES Linc, and they have a kid on the way. So it's really up in the air...

And I kinda just developed this style over time on my own, as well as seeing several styles I liked and just mashed them together lol
