A revised edition of asquidcalledzelda's version of Aunt Josephine's house for her project "The Atrocious Animation". I went back to several concept designs she'd done for it and decided to do a revised edition that stayed truer to her original design than my original had. I found in several images that she'd drawn most of the cliffs around Lake Lachrymose with grass and trees growing on them, something my design had been lacking. I made the cliff holding the house more rocky and grassy looking as well and added a few more details to the house, such as another side door above the fire escape and the tin roof having several nails holding it together. (Her design did not show the house as having a tin roof, but I felt it would make it look more like a cottage by the sea.) Also, ignore the "rays" coming from the sun. I wanted to show what Aunt Jo recounts of her husband: "I always like to picture Ike in a very hot place. So I hope where ever he is, it's as bright and sunny as can be!" (Of course, the irony of her saying "a very hot place" would be she imagines her husband went to Hell. Have fun with that idea Lemony Snicket fanfiction writers!) Hopefully the details don't detract from zelda's original design.

Very goodly haha I've seen houses (online at least) built this way, where the cliff is stepped and the house is built in sections jutting out down the cliff face. It's pretty cool really.
I love it when people say "Houses like this CAN'T be done!" But then you go out to California, with all its earthquakes, and you see houses built the same as Aunt Josephine's house and it's like "Told ya so!" haha
